For activity 3 week 1 day 1 summer learning journey, I chose the breast cancer foundation charity to explain and tell you what the foundation/charity does.
The breast cancer foundation is trying to reduce the deaths caused by breast cancer, by doing charity work and collecting donations to use for further research and treatment. And mostly to help women afford the treatment they are giving. The research is helping to find the tumors earlier so they don't become worse over time and also to improve the treatment outcomes.
Hi Paige, this is a good charity to write on as they are avidly identifying and funding different researchers that help detect tumors, improve treatments and find a cure for cancer. The breast cancer foundation is also well known as they have a lot of involvement in the community through fundraisers and events like the national pink shirt day. You wrote a very good description of the charity and you summarises it well. Are there any reasons why you selected this charity?
