Flash Fiction Narratives

Our class made flash fictions which is a fast paste narrative and this is mine, its called sister. It's about a girl who got lost in the forest looking for her lost sister.

Sister

Lea was out of breath. She was running out of time, She saw the stream... The stream that swept Thea away. The memories they had, the sun shone over something shiny. Lea walked over to it “could it be” it was Thea's necklace, the necklace from their childhood. She slowly and delicately swept it onto her hands fidgeting with it, she breathed slowly and under her breath, she said chain necklace…

“Come on Thea!” said Lea, “I think I found one” replied Thea “found what”, Thea was gazing at a beautiful deer. “It's beautiful,” she said “I want to touch it”, Thea slowly crawled on a log leading to where the deer was Thea fell in. “Thea no!!!”

“Thea no!!” Lea yelled as she held the necklace in her hand, tears came down her cheeks. A crackling noise broke the silence Lea turned around a deer was staring at her, the deer whispered “Thea”. “Thea couldn't swim she was afraid of swimming”, “I could have saved her but I didn’t”. As she Lea walked along the grass, dirt and trees she found a beautiful red rose, “they loved these flowers” “they were her favourite”.

Lea entered another part of the forest the sound of birds making music calmed her, as the sun went down and the moon came up her eyes felt heavy, and she fell into a sleep. She got awoken from a slobbery tongue licking her forehead, she slowly pushed it away and opened her eyes it was a deer. The deer backed away and in a flash, it turned into a girl “Thea?” Asked Lea, “Lea” replied Thea. They ran to each other and gave each other a hug “where were you all these years?” asked Thea “looking for you”. “what about mom and dad?”. “Where are they?” “I don't know” Lea replied, Thea started fading away “Thea don’t leave me” yelled Lea “please don't”. The sun started rising up and the forest was brightened up with beautiful music from the birds, but Lea was sad and alone hungry, and thirsty she walked over to the freshwater lake, sparkles shone over it reminded her of the time they went fishing and the current wasn't so strong and they could go swimming.

By the time it was nightfall Lea was lying on a tree stump trying to get to sleep after what happened, her sister was there but then she was gone. Lea was hungry and needed food she was cold the seasons were changing now and it was turning into winter, “help me please” she prayed “please tell me this is a dream”. But she knew her life was ending tears were dripping down her cheeks and her last words were “at least I'm going to be with my sister now”, the cold sad death now took over her body.
